The Gathering of the Eagles

Tomorrow, the 14th of November will mark the first time in the history of CLASFON ESUT when past clasfonites from 1997-2013 will return to ESUT to be celebrated. You cannot miss out on the "Gathering Of The Eagles " tomorrow.

Our journey

The clasfon National conference 2015 was a blast! The host university, Benue State University, despite all the unexpected challenges they faced in the course of hosting this conference, ensured that it was a worthwhile experience.
Our journey to Gboko, Benue State was smooth and fun as we experienced, for the first time for most of us, a different side of Nigeria and it's unique culture.
Upon arrival, we proceed to the registration point where we were assigned to our rooms.
A laudable arrangement which the host university made, with regards to the accommodation,  was the way they mixed people from different tribes and universities in one room in order to facilitate social and cultural integration and networking. Nice one guys!
In subsequent posts, I'll be reporting the events that took place from the first day  of the conference to our day of departure, seriatim.
So, stay tuned for more! !

Important information with regards to the conference

Hello brethren. Please take note of following important items you need to bring along for the conference:
1. 2 pairs of the white and black dress code (please take note to strictly observe the dress code)

2. One decent traditional attire.

3. A pair of jeans trousers for guys and jeans skirt for ladies and a tshirt.

4. A bedsheet.

5. A cover cloth

6. A black suit for guys/ decent black dress for ladies  (please kindly avoid the minis, transparent nets and low back and neck cuts)

7. An etisalat sim card if you'll need to make calls during the period because that's the best working line on the camp.

NB: Because of the rainy season, it's quite cold around here now, plus the camp is generally cold so do take that into consideration in choosing the clothes to bring. You may need to use a suit everyday, and night clothes that can keep the cold away. You may also need a cardigan for Saturday.

Overcoming Challenges

The pressures of college are real.
Like a schizophrenic drill-sergeant, the demands seem to come from everywhere. Whether it’s selecting a major, enduring a rigorous course load, or living with a hygienically challenged roommate; thriving in college is a daunting task for anyone.
Although often touted by pop culture and bored Baby Boomers as the supposed best time of one’s life, the university years can be filled with numerous challenges. And this can especially be true for people of faith.
Perhaps one of the most significant pressures students face is conformity, that obligatory
expectation to fall in line with the prevailing ethos of our day. Fundamental aspects of Christianity are continually called into question, and maintaining one’s faith on campus can be a painful and dizzying experience. As a student, how can you
begin navigating these difficult waters?
